Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

We need a logo for a niche apparel company that is based on a state university's athletic identity / brand. We are giving this description with the underlying first principle of not infringing on any existing trademarks, and have been in contact with the university's trademark office to ensure that said principle is met.

Our initial logo design need, for embroidery on golf polos, is a conestoga wagon.

There is an existing design (picture attached ) that we have found that we like. We like the shape of it, we like how it tapers, and we like the perspective.

Maybe if we cleaned it up by simplifying it to make our own... Here are some thoughts on that:

-remove the axle on the front
-consider giving the canvas a slightly more distinct shape by accenting the ridges of the canvas (the humps).
-instead of the vertical lines down the side of the wagon, we'd prefer they come down slightly, no more than a quarter of the way down the wagon (not the full wagon).
-in my reference there is a box on the wagon frame in between the wheels - don't worry about including
-we'd prefer for the wheels to be more defined than on the example given

The end goal is for a clean and distinctive logo. This will be shown in a small 1-2" wide embroidery on fabric. It needs to be impactful, but easy to read. Right now we are just looking to get the shape down - you can feel free to make the wood section of the design brown, the canvas white, and any outlines in black.

We are also open to other ideas & designs outside of the above.
