Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

We need a logo design for the new "Crowd-AI Lab" at Penn State University.

"Crowd-AI Lab" is a research lab that studies Crowdsourcing (Crowd), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). In a high level, we create computer systems that combine human workers and automated AI to provide services that today's AI still can't do alone. One of the most famous example is Chorus (http://talkingtothecrowd.org/), a chatbots that can actually hold long, sophisticated conversations with users.

Jeder Schieber zeichnet eine der Charakteristiken der Marke des Kunden aus sowie den Stil, den euer Logo widerspiegeln sollte.

Anforderungen

Muss haben

• (1) The logo will be used in our website, sticker, and Twitter account profile picture. So the logo needs to look good when (1) it's put in a circle shape and (2) it's small (since users will see the logo from their phones or small laptop screen).
• (2) We want the background to be white; We also need a favicon.ico version of the logo with a transparent background.
• (3) Keep the logo simple. We'd like to use no more than 3 colors.

Schön zu haben

• (1) In the logo, you can visually imply a combination of "human/crowd" and "AI/machine".
• (2) While we're a research lab in university, we don't want the logo be too formal or serious. We'd like it be friendly or even a little bit cute. The followings are some example lab/research logos we like:

• (3) We like cats! It would be lovely the logo can be in a cat shape or some visual clues of a cat.

Sollte nicht haben

• (1) This is a computer science lab, not a chemistry lab. So I prefer not to have a flask or microscope in the logo.
• (2) The logo needs to be recognizable without text ("Crowd-AI Lab") when necessary. No one can see the text from distance.
