Poster-Design Kurzbeschreibung

Possum Kingdom is a 1990's alternative rock cover band in the Philadelphia area. We need a poster design for an upcoming gig. See 'Must Haves' for key elements.
Our set includes songs by Weezer, STP, Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Better than Ezra, Sublime, Green Day, Lit, Third Eye Blind, Gin Blossoms, etc. If you know this music, you'll get it. Our set is high energy and upbeat, and we don't take ourselves too seriously.
Style: I leave that to you, but I like many of the recent concert posters done for Primus, if that's any indication of what I'm looking for. Maybe a subtle 1990s reference, or something to convey the 1990s style or music.
You can find our current logo on www.facebook.com/philly90s - you may choose to work with this, or not, your option. The award will be based on my subjective overall impression. If you choose to include a new logo design on the poster, we may use it for ongoing projects (T-shirts, etc).

Zielmarkt/( -märkte)

Music-minded people from ages 21-55, with sweet spot around the age 40s. The poster will hang in restaurants and shops in suburbia, so images should be chosen accordingly.

Anforderungen

Muss haben

• Highly legible (from 5 meters or so away) - will hang in suburban restaurants and store windows.
• Sized to print 11"x17" poster format
• Date and time of event (Sept 29, 9pm), and venue (Drake Tavern, Jenkintown).
• A reference to "'90s alt rock" or "'90s alternative rock" is also important.
• Visual interest, and ability for this to serve as a template for future events (by changing the date and venue name)

Schön zu haben

• Bold color
• A '90's rock feel
• Ok to use our logo art attached, not required

Sollte nicht haben

• Images that don't fit a restaurant setting (like a live or dead opossum, which looks like a rat)
• Too busy / tough to read
• Monochrome / greyscale
