Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

This is a logo for a new blog website called Throwing Stones.

This is a lifestyle blog focused on mindfulness, compassion, accountability. Think zen in the modern era. It's about living openly and authentically, and about the challenges we encounter in daily life that can keep us from doing so.

A three-word description of the Throwing Stones "brand": touching, funny, real.

The idea behind the name is that several-fold. One is the old adage of not throwing stones at people who live in glass houses. We're countering this--living in a glass house and throwing stones. It's also the idea of throwing a pebble at a window to get someone's attention. Finally, the thought of skipping stones across water and watching the ripple effect.

We are two women who are partners (in life and work). We like a sweet style of design, perhaps an illustration/line drawing type of look. One idea we have is of almost stick figures of two women throwing stones off a bridge or skipping stones across a stream. But we're open.

A good piece for inspiration is the video for "Winter Song" by Ingrid Michaelson and Sara Bareilles. We love the look of it.

We'd like a color logo that would reproduce well in black and white or two-color. We'd like a version that is just the image, and one that includes the image and "Throwing Stones." Text should be appropriate to match the feel of the design and spirit of the blog.
