http://randompodcasts.com/Random Podcasts lets you listen to randomly selected podcasts from around the world. You can filter the podcasts by language. The power of randomness allows you to escape filter bubbles and echo chambers and discover issues and perspectives that you never knew existed. The current website offers basic functionality and is only a demo. Don't assume that anything in the current "design" should stay in place. The goal of the design should be to make it as easy as possible to understand what the app offers, to listen to new podcasts, and to skip to the next podcast. The service will be offered both as mobile apps and directly on the website. We expect that most users will be on mobile devices which is why we are focusing on the mobile/web app design.In addition to the current functionality, the app should also offer search (allowing the user to listen to podcasts that match given keywords), allow the user to easily subscribe to the current podcast and show the profile picture of the current podcast.

• The main challenge is how to communicate the concept of the app to the user. Podcasts are randomly selected and the user just skips to the next one when he/she wants to. The ability to filter podcasts by language is important but no other filters are needed. The point is to use the power of random selection to explore new surprising content.

Schön zu haben

• The app/website is targeting a global audience. The less reliant the design is on written language, the better.
