Buchumschlag Design Kurzbeschreibung

My novel is called "The Naked Blood of the Cherry Blossoms" and the subtitle is "A defeated soldier battles the Yakuza"

The book's description is:

"In December 1945 Haruto Sakamoto, an Imperial Army officer, returns to war torn Osaka. He is a rare survivor from the Philippines campaign. Japan is in a wretched state, flattened by intensive bombing. Starvation and homelessness are rampant. Branded a defeated soldier, survivors treat him as an outcast. Penniless, he sleeps rough.

Amidst the city’s ruins and chaos, Black Markets explode. Some traders hawk goods looted from military stock piles. Others sell contraband sourced from racketeers in the occupation authorities. Yakuza gangs control the Black Markets, bribing police and city officials who turn a blind eye.

Sakamoto’s former Corporal runs a stall in the Umeda Black Market. Shaken down by the mob, he pleads for help. Can Sakamoto help? Will Sakamoto rediscover his once proud and invincible Samurai spirit?
