Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

I am just starting a hobby/side job strip-building Canoes and Kayaks.

These are built from wood strips and fibre glass reinforced, I am experimenting right now with several boat designs and different wood. For a signifiacnt time, this will be a hobby like side job, i dont expect to be able to live on it in the next 3-5 years

My plan is to potentially grow the business in the following steps:

1. 2014: Custom Kayak and Canoe building trials and first customer specific build

2. 2015: Offer Building Kits aswell as building classes (come and build your boat under supervision)

3. 2016: Offer Trial padddling trips / Paddling Classes in the boats I build

I am living in the Czech Republic, but have many potential customers in European countries, so i would make the branding in English. I am considering promotion via Facebook and specific internet discussion boards - so no extensive marketing campaign planned the the next years

I was thinking the business name to be somewhere in the line of:

Kayak & Canoe
Custom Made Boats or in short

K + C (or C+K / C&K / K&C?)
Custom Made Boats

I would like to have the logo to be short and contain some kind of paddling reference - a nicely lined Kayak, a paddle or something like that, idealy somehow integrated into the K & C part of the Logo. Logo should have 1-2 Colors I guess, not to colorful anyway. It should reflect the beauty of a hand build canoe (if you can relate ;-) aswell as the paddling aspect.

Zielmarkt/( -märkte)

Wodden Canoes and Kayaks are less common then PP or Fibreglass but have comparable performance and much greater beauty (wood structure/inlays/forms)

The target customers are paddlers / paddling enthusiasts who appreciate the beauty and the performance of their boats. The other potential customer goup is people who like building things from wood, but my estimation is that all of the people who are interested in this will have paddling as an interest.

Anforderungen

Muss haben

• Some pictoral refence to Kayaks/Canoes. I do like the double paddle of a kayak as its nicely recognizable for what it is.

Schön zu haben

• Combination of the business name and the kayaking pic. Problem is that I feel have not / cannot decide on the company name without having had an inspiration of the logo.
• Was thinking to use only letters in the logo
• My Ideas are fixed around the stuff below - but if there would be an inspirational alternative I would be willing to look at it:
• K&C
• Custom Made Boats (in small font under the logo)
• Kayak & Canoe
• Custom Made Boats (in small font under the logo)
