Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

Located in the beautiful, rugged, rocky mountains of Central Colorado, Sangre de Cristo Electric Association, Inc. is a small electric cooperative that provides power to roughly 13,000 consumers who generally enjoy recreating outdoors and outdoor pursuits such as hiking, rafting, hunting, etc. Colorado’s highest elevation point is within our service territory.
Our current logo is dated. We are looking for something more modern that will make us stand out in a crowd. When people see our logo, they should instantly recognize it and relate it to their local electrical provider Sangre de Cristo Electric Association.
Our logo needs to be simple enough that it can be used and easily recognized across multiple formats including our website, advertisements, shirts, hard hats, company vehicles, buildings, etc. We need both a vertical and horizontal version of the logo.
We do not currently have a corporate color(s); however, that’s something we plan to implement with the new logo. It needs to be able to run as one color – ie: black or white.We would like to see several color ideas.
Different from an investor owned utility company, Sangre de Cristo electric is owned and democratically managed by the consumers we serve, and we operate for the sole benefit of those consumers. We operate in a non-profit manner, re-distributing profits back to our consumers. We are a great partner for our service area, working for the sustainable development of our community and participating in and contributing to community organizations, functions and operations. We also serve as a resource for energy services and efficiency measures for the residents and businesses in our service area.
We are looking to develop a brand a logo that represents our unique characteristics as a rural, member-owned electric cooperative in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, and at the same time, portrays that we are on the cutting edge of the energy industry.

Our target market is broad, outdoors-oriented and consists of community members in our service area, second-home owners, business owners, contractors, and anyone who uses our electrical service.

Sangre de Cristo Electric Association. We would also like a version of the logo that says just SDCEA instead of the full company name, with the full company name integrated below the design. Ideally, we’d be able to pair the logo with other aspects of our business, such as charitable giving, an anniversary observation, etc.. We would like to see versions with and without the tagline - Tagline option 1: South Central Colorado’s Community Electric Cooperative Tagline option 2: Your Community Electric Cooperative
