Design Brief - Company LogoCornerstone Place LtdCompany OverviewCornerstone Place is a start-up property development company which provides housing solutions to homelessness support charities.The company has a unique model whereby we gift 50% of the property to the charity.The aim of the company is to have as much of an impact on reducing homelessness in the UK as possible whilst creating a sustainable and profitable long-term business.TargetsThe entities most likely to become aware of our company, and therefore logo, are;- Homelessness support charities- Social investors and banks (ie the organisations that will lend us the money including wealthy individuals)- Construction firms and other professional partners that we work with- Politicians, policy makers, local government etcExamplesWe have attempted to create a version of the logo ourselves - see attached. Further NotesThe logo we created was designed to look like the ‘cornerstone’ of a building. i.e. the first stone on which the rest of the building is built but also a ‘home within a home’ because we will create multiple ‘homes’ within one building. The arrow up is supposed to represent progress and upward momentum. We hope that this reflects what we are trying to achieve for the people that benefit from the properties we provide - they are coming off the streets into their own property and from there can start to build their lives with the support of the charities we will work with.We want a logo that is contemporary but also gives the impression that we are a secure choice, a ‘safe pair of hands’.Also it needs to not be too complicated (or have a simple version?) so it translates well onto business cards, website, email footers etc etc
