Grafik-Design Kurzbeschreibung
I wrote a simple, practical book for the law students who are in the BOTTOM of the class, those with low grade-point averages (GPAs) or from low-ranked law schools. It's a tough job market and it's hard for them to find jobs because there's a lot of competition for the few jobs, and with low GPAs good firms don't want to hire these students.
This 75-page book shows them how to use personal-branding and marketing techniques to still get a good job after they graduate. The tone of the design should be REALISTIC BUT HOPEFUL.
They thought they'd rank at the top of the class but instead they're devastated to find they're near the bottom. Now they have $150,000 in student debt and might end up working at Starbucks.

Muss haben
- We need a big bold HEADLINE that will be readable at a small Amazon thumbnail size.
- BOOK TITLE:
- The Ultimate Law Student Get-A-Job Checklist.
- Smaller sub-head:
- A step-by-step guide to help students in the bottom 75% land a great job.
- Large:
- By Ross Fishman, JD
- Smaller:
- Edited by Kerriann Stout, Esq.
- Include this call-out blurb on the cover:
- "Every law student who wants a great job should read this book!" -Jane Smith, Smith & Jones.
- The BACK cover should have roughed-in fake text, and a small "About the Author" biographical section with my face on it (photo attached). The bio text can be faked too; I'm just looking for design.
Schön zu haben
- I want a single strong graphic IMAGE that grabs their attention, looks professional, and conveys the stress that they're feeling, but shows them that they'll be successful if they buy this book.
- The attached photos of abused books represent their current emotions, but we might instead want something more POSITIVE and uplifting, if you can come up with something. What represents their future success?
Sollte nicht haben
- We're trying to AVOID the obvious "Law" cliches like gavels, columns, handshakes, buildings, skylines, courthouses, etc. UNLESS you can find a way to use them in a creative way. Do not use them in a literal way, e.g. use a gavel to represent Law. That's too obvious and boring. But for example, if it's broken, that's more unique and potentially eye-catching.
