Flyer-Design Kurzbeschreibung

The spec:

This is an electronic invitation that will be sent to about 1000 potential attendees, but only a portion of these attendees will be able to come – so it is a first come first served.

What is the event?

The Cricket world cup begins in May in England. We (Blue Recruiting) are hosting an event where we are hiring a cinema and will be flighting the South Africa vs Australia cricket match. The intention is to recreate a stadium atmosphere in South Africa to feel like we are at the game. There will be beer on tap, and stadium type food. Traditionally Australia is South Africa’s biggest rival and us beating them makes South Africans extremely happy

Who are we targeting?

This invitation is being sent to members of the Johannesburg Article Clerk Association (about 23 years old who are completing their CPA or Chartered Accountancy qualifications). They are young professionals but are closer to students with a salary.

Objective:

There should be less words and more pictures. People don’t want to spend ages reading the invitation. It needs to be short and to the point. The invitation will be sent out to the database by the committee of the association on our behalf. The recipient has got to understand that we are recreating the Stadium atmosphere in a cinema and its exclusively for Jacass (Johannesburg article clerk members). The need to realise that its event that cannot be missed and that spots are limited and its on a first come first served basis.

A secondary message which we need to get across is the following, “This event is hosted and sponsored by Blue Recruiting, JACASS’s new major partner. Blue Recruiting are the founders of the innovative new CAs Online (www.CAsOnline.co.za) digital market place for newly qualified CAs.

The opening line needs to be eye-catching and the flyer needs to create interest immediately. Something along the lines of “JACASS is bringing the Cricket World Cup to Sandton”

The main picture should be any image of SA team against Aus and potentially fans enjoying the spectacle. The main attraction needs to be the cricket match / cricket world cup.
