Hello, can you explain in more details about the whole time frame for this project.
Because one cannot expect the whole book to be ready in a week. It is not real.
First you need to approve the character design and styling, and then the pages layout as a sketches, and only after then - the finished product. Maybe this time schedule was meant for the cover job only?
It would be nice to have some breakdown of deadlines here.

Ah, I understand your confusion. You are correct, we do not need the entire project complete in a week. We will be merely selecting the artist who will be creating the illustrations within the first week based on a submission, it does not need to be all six spreads. I recommend a cover design/illustration. The stylistic impression is most important to the book. Once we like the stylistic approach, we are confident the other spreads will flow naturally, and we will have several weeks to complete all the drawings. I will update the brief to reflect this. Thank you.

The scene can be either day or night, indoors OR outdoors. The cover of another, similar, book we have looked at shows Santa, a reindeer, and a couple elves and children sitting around while Santa reads a book to them. That is not necessarily the exact scene we want depicted, but it is for inspiration.
