Please read the whole brief, but after looking at many logo options, I have come to a clearer understanding of what I want this logo to look like.
I want a logo that graphically represents an old floor being given a new finish. It should be ONE floor, not two. The same floor should be turning from old to new. And there should be something between the old and the new to represent the PROCESS of transformation that is happening to the floor.
The logo should leave a question in people's minds. The question should be something like: "What is the new floor going to look like?" Or, "What will the whole floor look like when the process is finished?"
I would like to have a logo that gives the impression of a floor in the process of being refinished.

I need a logo for a floor refinishing company in Norway that focuses on helping customers create the room of their dreams. I have the website with the same name: dingulvsliper.no. I do not install floors, but refinish existing floors.I would prefer the logo to be graphic and able to stand alone without the company name, giving an impression of elegance, customization, and service. The logo will often be used with a slogan that says something like: "We help you create the room of your dreams."I currently sand and refinish wood floors, but have plans to expand into other types of floors (concrete, linoleum, etc.), so the logo should not give the impression of a certain kind of floor.Some of the values I want to communicate with the logo are:Beauty/Finesse/Polish – The finished product should look very good, and the room should be clean and ready to move into.Personalization/Customization – I offer multiple finish alternatives, and seek to understand the customer’s wants and needs.Environmental – refinishing involves less waste than replacing floor, and I use environmentally friendly and “healthy” products, and dustless sanding to keep house air as clean as possible. The refinished floor will be easier to maintain and keep clean than the original. Conscientiousness – I strive for honesty, treating the customer as I would want to be treated, seeking to give more than expected.Thoroughness – The personalized beauty extends to every corner and edge.
