Our client –Northwest Cherries – a non-profit organization representing cherry farmers from Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Utah and Montana is seeking a designer to help develop a series of short, animated videos that will promote and generate awareness around the many health benefits associated with sweet cherries. Benefits include, reduced risk of heart disease and diabetes, combating arthritis and gout, sleep support via melatonin, fiber for weight loss – and much more.
The animated videos will be leveraged across NW Cherries’ social channels. Each video will be centered around one key health benefit associated with consuming sweet cherries in a fun and easily digestible way. The designer will need to create an animated sweet cherry character to be featured in each video, helping to bring the different health benefits to life. We have included some photos for inspiration attached of a personified avocado – again, the cherry would be animated / in motion.
For this first round, we would love for designers to showcase their vision for our cherry character by designing and animating the following health benefit:
• Better sleep in every bite: Cherries can help you sleep better and feel more rested. Studies show that cherries are a natural source of melatonin, which helps control your body’s internal clock and regulate your sleep patterns. Try eating cherries about an hour before bedtime to help stabilize your sleep cycle.
This project is intended to allow our team to see your creative vision. Should your character/style be selected, additional details will be shared regarding the larger project.
Budget:
• First animated illustrated video: $600 (should be sized for Instagram)
• Total project budget: $3,000 - $5,000 for 5-7 videos; each video :10 seconds to :15 seconds long
Timing:
The first video would go live on social June 26th to kick-off the sweet cherry season with the remaining videos going live throughout the summer. A full timeline will be developed upon selecting a designer. A quick turnaround time is required as we need to leave time for client reviews ahead of the June 26th go-live date.
