We need to design a line extension of an existing product into a new beverage category. We currently market a Craft Soda, in an alcoholic and non-alcoholic version. We wish to market a Seltzer, sugar free, version of the same brand. Its a different product (from extremely sweet to 0 sugar and very light). So we need to communicate the attributes of this new product while making sure that consumers can still recognize and see the existing brand in the new product.
We have attached pictures of the existing product for your reference. The cans are the alcoolic version of the product and the bottles are the non-alcoolic version.
To develop the product, use a cherry seltzer flavor as a reference but the design should be able to be declined into other flavours and colours easily.

Consumers of the traditionnal product are consummers aged 45-65 who are nostalgic of the brand which was extremely strong 40 ago. These consumers remember going to the corner store and getting a pop shoppe as a treat. However, they are now more health conscious and looking to cut sugar and calories from their day to day diet and therefore looking for an alternative like an alcoholic seltzer rather than a alcohollic hard soda.
