Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

Start up tax firm based in New England. I am looking for a clean, conservative, black and white style (or if color, tasteful) logo. See BlackRock, Blackstone, or JPMorgan Chase & Co., for examples. The business focuses on tax compliance and advisory matters. The work is staid and the logo should reflect that. Looking ahead to business card and website design, plain text seems too simplistic and leaves a lot of white space, so I think that a logo would help the contrast. I would like the logo to play on the waterfall design and I have attached two examples that I like.
