Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

We need a logo that represents a systematic change in our core business. We selected the renaissance theme but we have been told to not use the Vitruvian Man. We operate Oil & Gas fields on the North slope of Alaska and we are changing the operating structure of our business through technology, modernization and data analytics. We want to improve the efficiency of the business to free up human capital to work on newer projects. The company has specific color pallets and themes but I'd expect this to work in both color and monochrome schemes. I've attached my attempts at a logo (word doc) but the boss hated all of them. We don't want to use the acronym as part of the logo either. The attached email shows other designs but they are 'meh' at best and didn't inspire anyone here. Hopefully you can create something that will WOW us. ConocoPhillips is the company and we could incorporate our corporate logo but not required.
