We are an insurance company creating a campaign called SIT OR STAND FOR LIQUOR LIABILITY LOSS PREVENTION (TM) that is about encouraging safe alcohol serving practices at restaurants and bars. Using the acronym SIT OR STAND, the campaign will speak to brokers, restaurant, bar, and tavern owners, and even patrons. This campaign will come to life in a number of ways, including materials in bars, like posters, coasters, and other signage. We would like to create an ownable, recognizable look and feel that will become iconic and immediately associated with SIT OR STAND. Think the gecko from GEICO, the lion from D.A.R.E. We want this visual identity to immediately cue SIT OR STAND in everyone’s minds. For the graphic design, we would like it to be whimsical, impressionistic, cartoon-like, colorful, and fun. We would like the scene to take place at a bar with a few people sitting and standing around (casually dressed). We would like two distinct characters with Owl-like faces, one named SIT and the other named STAND, doing just that at the bar (sitting and standing). This should be able to work on posters and websites.
