Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

This new mother-daughter business needs a logo design to be used digitally, in print, and on a tag that will be sewn into one-of-a-kind wool goods. We are helping to support the age-old craft of knitting in Iceland by sharing authentic, handmade wool sweaters and hats with American consumers. We are pushing back against a trend, in Iceland, to sell tourists Icelandic-looking goods that are actually knitted in China, Portugal, and elsewhere. The design should incorporate a version of the icon below. That icon is what Icelandic knitters post on the road to signal that they sell handmade wool goods. Our website will profile the knitters and promote them as craftsmen. Attached also is an example of two of the sweaters we will be selling. We plan to launch using Shopify just after Thanksgiving.

• Incorporate some version of the "road sign" symbol that Icelandic knitters post to signal that they sell sweaters. Note our color selections are not set in stone. They are in keeping with the actual color of the roadsign.

• A strongly corporate feel. A look that perpetuates the "fire and ice" cliche of Iceland.
