Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

I want a logo for my new consulting business named 'evidion' (I am undecided whether to use a capital E and will be influenced by what looks better in the final logo). The logo will be used on my website, business cards and stationary.
Evidion helps governments and organisations make evidence-based decisions ('evid' from evidence, 'ion' from the end of 'decision').

I have a thrown together a draft DIY website at evidion.com.au. Once I have a logo, I'll be looking at getting the website done properly.

We specialise in analysing data and information to uncover stories contained in the data, which can in turn inform optimal decision making. Our normal approach is to handle specific projects for clients, but we also train up in-house teams in these capabilities.

Competitors include the likes of EY, KPMG, Deloitte, Accenture, BCG, etc, so even though we are a niche operator, the logo shouldn't look out of place alongside these companies.

I want a logo that conveys reliability and trust, similar to a professional services, or large accounting or law firm. My expectation is that conservative colours will work best, but am happy to be surprised if you have other suggestions. Ideally the logo will be a design that works in full colour as well as black and white.

• There's been some interesting wordmark submissions. I'd love to see some more pictorial combination, conceptual or symbolic ideas that could either accompany my business name or incorporate this symbolism into the text in some way.
• For example, symbols representing data, information or statistics, detective work (I look for the stories hidden in the data), making the right decision (eg a tick) or showing the way.

Sollte nicht haben

• I'm not excited by logos on a black background. My preference is something that will print clearly on letterhead (I will only be using an inkjet until my business grows) or that I can put on a white background business card.
