Grafik-Design Kurzbeschreibung

Due to some contestants having to deal with illness, this contest has been extended until April 12th. I will narrow down the top finalists by then.

The purpose of this project is to convert actual images of original vintage Kenner Star Wars "weapons" and "accessories" to "custom" colored digital or pencil drawings that are colored and like the original image. The images should be very detailed with full color accuracy yet be "custom art" drawings/colored sketches. There should be no "drop shadows" but the art itself will have shading to give the image depth. The images should ALSO BE TO SCALE and either SIDE TO SIDE OR UP AND DOWN.

Designs that DON'T RESEMBLE THE ACTUAL ITEMS but have a "new look" will be rejected.

Also, I do NOT need custom images of the ACTION FIGURES right now - JUST THE WEAPONS AND ACCESSORIES!

Designs can include:
(1) Custom digitally drawn and colored images.
(2) Custom hand drawn and digitally colored images.
(3) Custom hand drawn and hand colored images.

Artist/Designer:
(1) Huge plus to know about Star Wars so the learning curve will be much less in regards to the characters (figures), weapons, and accessories.
(2) Be easy to work with and be very accessible for not only this project but additional drawings as this project continues to expand.
(3) Be willing to change/alter designs that need some tweaking without taking it personally.
(4) Be reasonable with the cost of their design services.

Weapons and accessories should be pictured from the best perspective which is usually on the side and the perspective which is shown in the Display Case image found in the folder called 0- Overall Guides.

The images must also be designed with a transparent background. Format needs to be for:

(1) Website images
(2) Printing on transparent sticker sheets.

I'd need to have them completed in both a LARGE and SHRUNK down format (mentioned above) for various uses.

There are 9 main folders to be unzipped from Part 1 and Part 2:

0- Overall Guides gives an overview on all of the weapons and accessories in the project. A very good reference folder for some of the weapons and accessories.
1- Star Wars shows all the figures, weapons, and accessories from the Star Wars line (1978-1979).
2- Empire Strikes back shows all the figures, weapons, and accessories from the Empire Strikes Back line (1980-1982).
3- Return of the Jedi shows all the figures, weapons, and accessories from the Return of the Jedi line (1983-1984).
4- Power of the Force shows all the figures, weapons, and accessories from the Power of the Force line (1984-1985).
5- Droids shows all the figures, weapons, and accessories from the Droids Cartoon line (1985).
6- Ewoks shows all the figures, weapons, and accessories from the Ewoks Cartoon line (1985).
7- Dolls shows accessories and weapons from the 12" Star Wars line (1978-1980).
8- Parts show accessories/parts from the Star Wars toy line (1978-1984)

I've included multiple images of weapons and accessories to give designers different perspectives of texture, color, style, etc.a and to provide full representation of the actual item. For example, there are 8 Ewok hoods (Lumat, Warok, Paploo, Romba, Wicket, Teebo, Chief Chirpa, and Logray). It is very important that all the hoods have a consistent view (facing forward and not
some facing to the side).

Also, some images may have a gun bent slightly such as Klaatu Skiff Guard rifle, Leia Boushh Disguise rifle, or Emperor's Royal Guard staff pike. In cases like this, the artist needs to "correct" the bend by straightening out the weapon in the artist rendering. The Amanaman staff should slightly curve to the right on the top of the staff, as detailed in the 4- Power of the Force folder. Also, the Ben Kenobi blue lightsaber tip is bent, but should be straight like Darth Vader's and Luke Skywalkers (yellow) which can be found in the Display image in the 0 - Overall Guides folder. There may also be photos where the weapon has some paint missing or a stress mark. Those should be "photo-shopped" or not drawn either.

AGAIN, I would like the images to look as "close to the original items as possible" yet be "original art".

I'm looking for a graphic artist and/or designer to take the vintage Kenner Star Wars weapon and accessory images I've attached and make a consistent design on a transparent background. There are approximately 102 total, but some are repetitious as they only differ in color such as a brown or orange snake or blue or black blaster.

PLEASE NOTE: If I really like your design style, I am willing to FUND THE PROJECT MORE to make it worth your while. So please don't reject the project because of budget, but rather tell me what fee you would require to complete this project. Also, if you think this project has too many designs, I would be willing to negotiate with the winning designer and pay more for the additional images over the quantity agreed upon. So, PLEASE DON'T REJECT THE PROJECT FOR THE QUANTITY OF IMAGES NEEDED. I chose the most expensive package for this project, and realize that this project may require a higher sum.

The images will be eventually reduced to fit organizing bins that have 2 different size clear fronts. The smaller bin is 3/4 inch tall x 2 inches wide. The larger bin is 1
inch tall x 4 1/4 inches wide. So the larger items can be turned "sideways" so the smaller items don't have to be reduced in scale so much. Hope that makes sense!

Eventually, I'd love to have each item divided into sections so they can be printed on transparent sticker paper.

Please send me a few samples so I can confirm the style of image design before you put too much effort into it.

I'm looking to have several more Star Wars toy accessory images done after this project so the person I hire for the job will be given many more projects /
employment opportunities in the next few months. Good luck! :)

• Each icon separated into sections so they can be printed on clear sticker paper and then cut out easily.

Sollte nicht haben

• Too much simplicity and not be a plain blueprint outline BUT should have color, shading, and accurate details and look as close to the original items yet be "original art".
