Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

I am working on a project to revamp the image of the Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Perth (Western Australia). The existing logo (visible at https://icci.asn.au) is a bit antiquate and doesn't really give an idea of the nature of our business, and neither can tell who we are at a glance.
In redesign our website (attached a screenshot of the first prototype) we need a new logo which fits with the style. Additionally, the logo needs to be:
- Modern
- Clearly communicate what the organisation is
- Not too tacky
- Ideally containing the Italian flag colors
- Have a version with no wording
- Have a version with only the acronym ICCI

In brainstorming with the team members, we liked the idea of having something resembling the tracks left by the "Frecce Tricolori": these are the aerobatic demonstration team of the Italian Air Force (in the attached image of the web site prototype you can see a homemade version of that)
