DCM Alloys
We are a mobile alloy wheel repair business specialising in the refurbishment of diamond cut alloy wheels. Diamond cut alloys are the new style alloy wheels with a polished metal face. They are very stylish with fantastic aesthetic qualities and contribute to a modern vehicle looking fabulous

Precision
The polished look of the alloy wheel is created when the wheel is ‘cut’ on a metal lathe. The lathe is a heavy duty industrial precision machine. To cut, the wheel is secured in a clamp and rotates at high speed whilst a diamond tipped blade slides across the face of the wheel cutting between 0.01mm to 0.03mm, creating a beautiful polished metal finish. Hence the name ‘diamond cut alloys’. This precision cutting process is central to everything DCM Alloys represents and I would like this encapsulated in the design. The lathe will be supplied by DCR and fitted into the van by Smartfix as part of their SMART-van Diamond installation service.

Quality
Additional to the £35k lathe, our mobile workshops are equipped with expensive, state of the art, tooling and equipment. Each mobile unit will have a total set up cost of £65k. In turn repair costs of the alloy wheels will be high - typically customers will be billed approx £100 per wheel. Therefore it’s imperative we market ourselves as a premium high end operation. I want this to be reflected in the design

Mobile
Our service is mobile. We will travel to the customer so I want to capture this in the design. I want the design to indicate movement / speed / forward motion.

Colours
The colour palate will be black, blue and white or silver. The main colour will be black.
