Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

Overview
We require a new logo for our company "Pounds Press".
Pounds Press is a company that provides packaging, printing and design services to the cannabis and CBD industries. Ranging from plastic or glass containers, to stickers and labels as well as packaging design. We create designs for various cannabis and CBD strains (or custom works) but also provide wholesale packaging services.

Our goal is to recreate our brand and logo to become a household name within the industry with a hallmark of quality and reliability. We want to create a cult-like, lifestyle brand that people recognise and want to be part of as trust and being part of a group/association is important in this industry. As such the brand and logo would need to easily exist stylishly on packaging as well as modern clothing and merchandise. This means a corporate feel is the wrong way to go…it should almost feel like a fashion brand. Think stylish, streetwear fashion brand. We want people to want to be part of the family because it’s cool to be…or if they see it on a packaging product or design then they can be confident in the quality of it.

A key factor is that we plan, in future, to expand “Pounds” into other areas beyond just being “Pounds Press” so “Pounds” is the primary name with “Press” almost being secondary in this case and must be easily transitional with other words denoting other fields that we might expand into…such as “Pounds Manufacturing” for instance. It is the “Pounds” element that we want to become a household name. It also needs to be edgy, modern, perhaps even subtly futuristic, in line with our goal/value of innovating new products...but also semi-corporate so that outside of this industry, for instance a cofee company could see it and think yes, I will chat to them for packaging.

We require a horizontal format but we will need variations created from the design once selected to allow for vertical placement as well as a simple, recognisable icon that can be used both with the text as well as on its own. Perhaps a stylised pound weight? We are open to ideas. It will also need to have light and dark variants for use in different scenarios as well as being a responsive icon suitable to different sizes.

Please note that while we will still be selling all of our strain designs as a service, which are a very specific, graffiti-like style of design, we are reinventing our website and offering to be less based around that style of design but more professional but it’s important to bear in mind the industry we are currently operating in, even if we intend to expand out of it into others at some point in the future.

We are open to suggestion and want to give you creative freedom on this as designers...we have nothing too particular in mind.

We sell our products to shops across the world so it has to appeal to them...but we also sell directly to the customers that those shops sell to so appealing to the end user will encourage shops...we also work directly with product manufacturers to do their custom packaging and they are very important customers of ours.
