Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

The project is called: Terra Trek.
The project has a mission to inform and inspire the public about environmental issues and nature around the U.S. It essentially will be a journey of a year or more on the road around the country. The products will be stories, microdocumentaries, blogs, and other.
The logo should primarily be the letters and words itself presented as some design element. There can be some other design elements added beyond the words themselves, but intially we are thinking that it should not be too much. I've attached some ideas that my partners thought were too "amateurish" so we really are looking for creativity and professionalism in ideas.
The potential tag lines (which may be added later) include:
"A journey for environmental truths"
or
"On the road for a better earth"
