Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung
We are starting a national machine learning center for structural biology (Simons Machine Learning Center, or SMLC). We will be using machine learning to optimize structural biology workflows. We work with biological structures ranging in size from proteins to groups of cells.
We have designed a couple concept logos, but we don't have the artistic skill to finish. SMLC_draft_logo1.png shows a concept of converting biology (green) to circuits (gold). SMLC_draft_logo2.png shows a sketch of a ribbon diagram of a protein concerting to circuits. The last image shows an example protein depicted as a ribbon diagram. We would like to have a clean ribbon diagram of a protein converting to circuits as the logo. Either a new protein, or the draft_logo2 protein. You can use software called UCSF Chimera to make ribbon depictions of proteins. Proteins are available from rcsb.org.
