Need a logo and a banner for a meeting
Baton Rouge,La has some of the best drinking water in the world, but it is now being encroached on by salt water from south of the BR fault which separates the fresh from the salt water. All water south of the fault is salt and all north is fresh. The culprit is industry along the Mississippi River in the Baton Rouge area. Exxon Mobil is using 20 mgpd and the paper mill is using 40 mgpd and the rest of industry in this area is using another 20 mgpd for a total of 80 million gallons a day of our fresh drinking water. The 400,000 people here are using 80 mgpd and the water table has been reduced by 250 feet in the last 50 years and salt water is now filling that void by leaking through the fault from the south. All industries south of here use water from the Mississippi River, but industry here will not, and therein lies the problem..Industry needs tp use water from the river and let our aquifer refill for public consumption Exxon and Georgia Pacific are very strong politically in Louisiana and it will be hard to get them to change,although they are sitting right on the river bank . My though is that we need to get public to understand the problem and get them involved with their political representative. We are starting to have meetings with other interested groups and need a logo and a banner for these meetings and rallies. My cell is 225-921-3592
