The Artisan Partnership works with communities of Indigenous artisans around the world. We collaborate with master craftspeople to develop products using their traditional techniques and help them sell the products around the world.
Our profit-sharing business model ensures money goes back to the makers, which helps them support their communities, continue their traditions, and celebrate their cultural identity. The Artisan Partnership brings ‘far, far away’ into ‘home, sweet home’ by creating beautiful products that are also functional. We attach pictures of some of our products, together with descriptions of what they are and where they are from.
Keywords like cooperative, ethical, and community sum up the company itself, while the products can be described as handmade, high-end, and practical.
In terms of aesthetics, we envisage a logo that incorporates the company name, written in a relatively simple font, with a relatively simple symbol above it. We would like this to look high-end and draw influences from designer fashion labels. For the symbol, we are drawn towards curved lines that represent cycles and connectedness between the company and the artisans. The symbol may even allude to or be an abstracted version of a circle, linked circles, or an infinity symbol. We attach a mood board of logos that convey what we are looking for.
