Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

We need a logo for our company selling luxurious, handmade, wooden knitting needles. The logo needs to have the text element (that can be printed on the shaft of the needles) and a graphic element (that we can print on the knot). Both elements should also work good together (like on a website).

The needles are going to have a clean, streamlined design, inspired by modernist aesthetic. They will be made of a variety of wood: rosewood, ebony, sandalwood, maple, walnut, etc. We need a logo that is striking and memorable but that will share this aesthetic. Something clean and elegant. NOT: rustic, craftsy, your typical yarn shop logos, no cutesy leaping sheep, etc.

The website itself is going to be white. We don't want to be overwhelmed with colour that would detract from the beauty of the wooden needles. This doesn't mean that we don't want to use colour at all, but that it cannot be too gaudy.

When designing the text part of the logo, imagine it being printed on the shaft of a narrow knitting needle (say 3mm diameter). Will it still be legible?
