Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

Swimming Canada Swim Team that is 12 years old out of Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, & Parkland County areas of Alberta, Canada.

Our name is the Parkland Pirates Aquatic Club.

Team Colors (Green HEX: 00B140 & Black HEX: 27251F). However we use white and gray a lot too.

What we are about:
....becoming better people through excellence in swimming.

Our Mission is to Provide an environment where student-athletes are becoming better people through excellence in swimming.

Our Vision: pound-for-pound and stroke-for-stroke the best team in Alberta--then all of Canada.

Our Values:

-Mastery
-Courage
-Self-Reliance

Would like the logo to be more distinctive. It's a little too busy for promotional usage.

Need to be more adaptable to work with all forms of marketing & promotions (shirt & cap printing, embroidery, image on water bottles, Social Media, etc).

THE CURRENT LOGO DOES NOT:
-Indicate that we are a swim team
-Include Team Colors
-Appeal to older kids (they are indifferent to it, but Moms and little kids think it's cute).
-Has no evidence of symbolism. For example a round logo enclosed in a circle may symbolize unity....Well, our circle is broken.
-Indicate that we are Canadian; no maple-leaf: maybe add one on the eye patch or pattern of them on the bandana (this would be nice, but not required).

WHAT'S GOOD WITH PRESENT LOGO
-It is recognizable within the Local Community; so we are not looking to completely abandon the current logo.
