Please feel free to take the design in a completely new direction (not represented in the samples). Note that we want a logo that can serve as an icon and be independent from the name. There are two things that may not have been clear. 1. This is focused on networking for scientific researchers and 2. scientific research papers are a key element in this.

Also, the use of the word "drop" in the name refers to the release of a new product, in this case, a research paper (hence the word, cite).

I have added a file to the project description that uses single quotation marks as a potential logo. This is another possible direction to consider, since a key to what we are doing involves quoting and citing the medical research literature.
