Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

We are looking to re-brand our church logo. We are a church in Windsor MO.
Our town is rural and we are the intersection of the Katy Trail and Rock Island Park. We are the highest point on the Katy Trail which stretches across the state of Missouri. We are looking for a logo that incorporates a trail with trees and looks like it is going up a hill. We definitely want to pay homage to this.
We want to use the letters "W A". It would be on the bottom half of the logo.
We do not want it to take away from the trail, trees etc. Below WA we would like it to say: Windsor Assembly.
As far as colors go, we are thinking charcoal or dark grey and white. We do like that style of font but it doesn't have to be that exact same one.
We are looking for a shield / badge style of logo. But with straight lines. We are looking for a clean, easy to read logo.
I have included a rough sketch of what we are looking for.

**Edit: we are now looking at circle logos and not shields. We weren’t feeling the shield like we thought we would. Thx
