Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

We are looking for a logo for our fabric shop based in the Netherlands. We want to sell all sorts of fabric specifically for clothes So think jersey, viscose, cottons and such. Our name will be De Lapjeskat. Lapjes is the Dutch word for small pieces of fabric and the Lapjeskat is the name for a cat with a specific design. We thought is was fun to combine the two.

We sell on Etsy, but also like to begin to sell locally. We like our logo to be illustrative, but not to cartoony, or to business like. We like the colors baby blue and white, but we are open to suggestions. We would like a logo that that could be used with and without a pay off. So the logo should say it all.

Our clients are are people who like to sew, and honestly they come in all shapes and sizes ;) male, female, straight, gay, old, young I mean everybody. Just take a look at the great british sewing bee and you and you will get the idea.

Lapjes cats are mostly white with distinctive patches of red and orange. I think the English word is calico cat.

Muss haben

• an illustration of a calico cat and fabric with the lines De Lapjeskat, but I would love it if the illustration can also be used without the text.
  A fresh appearance

Schön zu haben

• The colors baby blue and white, but it is not a must. We are open to suggestions.
  We like Dick Bruna, Hokusai, Michael Miller fabrics. We also like that vintage look between the 20s and 50s. Doesn't mean that it all has to fit in this one logo, but it will perhaps give you an idea of our style.

Sollte nicht haben

• Only text.
  Too business like,
  We don't like the vintage 60s and 70s.
  We don't like it to be too .. goat woolen socks in sandals.. if you know what I mean.
