Hi. First of all, thanks for all the clarification you've provided on the subject of the book. That said, before actually diving in the task of designing a book cover, I just need you to share the dimensions of the book cover (width x height/ print version) and, if possible, the approximate number of pages the book has (to calculate the spine size). I think a bit more constructive feedback from yourself would be better to get the cover you prefer, rather than a useless comment like 'boring''.

A nod in the direction you wish to take would help all the designers working on your project to get what you want. That, or a more constructive brief in the first place.

I would also like to point out that for you to give a rating of 1 star for my first submission - I take as an insult. I think you are confusing Quality - (which is part of what the rating system is for) - with your personal aesthetic tastes (especially for fonts) which is a different thing altogether.

I do not submit 1 star work. I have been creating book covers for over 10 years, and have seen some terrible covers win competitions and some excellent covers win on designcrowd, it is all in the eye of the beholder. Quality is a different matter. e.g. You may not like Porsche styling, but the quality is still there.

If you do not know how to rate a piece. don't bother, as this affects the designers ratings for their standing on Designcrowd. Long after your book has been published, the effect of your ratings will remain on designcrowd, and other authors seeking 4 or 5 star designers may get the wrong impression.

The stars are used to measure quality, not how much you want to use a design or not.
1 star = poor quality. Low effort. Ignored the brief. Low skill level etc.
Keep this in mind when you judge designs.
If you don't like the design, leave it with ZERO stars. Or eliminate without stars. Low ratings of 1 and 2 stars lower the personal overall score of the designer and trust in a designer from future project owners.
Please rate first of all the quality of work and compliance with the brief. If you don't like the design idea, please do not use low stars. Change them to zero stars.

THE COVER WILL BE 6 BY 9, I GUESS THE WIDTH WILL BE ABOUT 3/4 INCH THE BOOK IS ABOUT 125 PAGES
