Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

I have a startup company called Focal Plane Technologies that will be providing IT and software implementation services in the United States for commercial and government clients. I originally discovered the term "focal plane" from lighthouse terminology as it is the distance from the surface of the water to the middle of the lighthouse's beam of light. However, it also has meaning in photography and optics as the plane where an object comes into focus. My work has nothing to do with lighthouses or photography but I thought the name was cool and it was available. I am looking for a company logo and am open to suggestions. It can play off the lighthouse or focus theme or be something different.
