Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

We are a new Biotechnology company creating new medicines for the treatment of many different diseases and require a logo, which will be a part of our corporate identity. So it must be a long-lasting design which doesn't 'go out of date'. Ideally the logo should contain the name of the company in an attractive font and a novel element which on its own even without the company name can be identified with the company. One idea we looked at was a shape (perhaps a ball?) which was netted in its 'colouring', but we are very open to all suggestions. This shape can go beside the name, be behind it or be incorporated in some way. It should be just one colour that stands out against white. We have been exploring the yellow/orange axis and currently RGB 255, 192, 0 is a favourite, but again could easily be persuaded of other colours.
