Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

Hi there, I need to get a logo created for my author website. I write crime fiction along with some paranormal content. I also write funny poetry - quite a mix! But I don't necessarily need it to encompass all of this. The crime/paranormal author work is the priority at this stage.
I am open to other colours, but my favourite colour is purple and I also like green. I know these go together relatively well, so if there is a way to combine, that would be ideal.
I don't like pastel shades, I prefer strong, vibrant colours.
I want the logo to present a professional approach. I already write for a living as a successful journalist and this is my first foray into fiction writing.
I have put my name as the wording on the logo text, but if it makes sense to add in 'author' or 'writer' depending on the design, I am open to that too.
