Earth Lighting is a US based manufacturer of commercial lights for offices, hospitals and schools made from sustainable materials. It is a company making the most sustainable lighting fixtures on the planet. Instead of using aluminum and steel, we use recycled plastic and wood byproducts from the lumber industry. We want our customers to think of us as a sustainability company first and a lighting company second.

Our goal is to change the lighting industry by changing the materials that are used.

Our Story
Earth Lighting aspires to design, develop and manufacture the most sustainable lighting products on the planet. We continuously investigate and research new materials and manufacturing methods in our push to make the lighting industry more sustainable. For years, LED technology has helped reduce the electricity demand from lighting. However, efforts in the manufacturing of luminaries and the utilization of luminares in a space have not been addressed to the same extent. In an effort drive the lighting industry toward more sustainable practices, Earth Lighting is not only using different materials and manufacturing methods in our products, but we are also designing products that can be used in new and different ways relative to the current trends in lighting design.
Materials
Earth Lighting is pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the design and manufacturing of lighting fixtures. We eliminate all possible metals from our luminaires including the framing, mounting and housing. We use a wood pulp composite that is 100% recycled and 100% recyclable at the end of life. We focus on using recycled plastics for our lenses and are working with partners on the develop of the first ocean plastic and ocean bound plastic light guide panels.
