ABOUT THE CITY OF EMPORIA
The City of Emporia is a small town located in the Flint Hills in the eastern part of Kansas. Emporia is the perfect distance for access to regional fun while offering visitors a rural hometown vibe. Travelers enjoy our amenities and world-renowned events (Unbound and Dynamic Disc Open) in the heart of the Flint Hills. Residents love the security of a small town, coupled with extensive activity opportunities and the rich history of the area.
As a hometown the fusion of cultures cultivates from university life, local farming, and industry. Emporia’s prominent activities offer unique experiences for visitors and residents alike.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
The City of Emporia is soliciting responses to a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) from creative, qualified professionals or design firms with experience in community branding and logo development.
The purpose of the community rebranding is to capture the character of Emporia and use it to establish a brand for the City. The project will include brand expression, messaging, and visual elements. One objective of the project is to create a modern and eye-catching logo that has a wide appeal and usage. The logo must be able to be easily adapted for usage by multiple City departments. Key stakeholders will participate in the project and provide feedback throughout the project.
SCOPE OF WORK
To be used in print, web, billboards, banners, signage, embroidery
To be created in full color, single-color and black & white.
Aktualisierungen
Emporia is home to two international events: Unbound (a gravel bicycle race) and Dynamic Disc Open (a disc golf tournament). The city would like to see some designs incorporate one or both events in the design. The city was also formerly known as the city of the twin rivers; two main rivers in Kansas flow through Emporia. This could also be an aspect of the logo redesign.
