Forest Scene Designs Project

We are a producer of mama-baby keepsakes and nursery decorations. For this project we are creating designs for forest items and animals as wall decorations for a child’s room. These designs will be laser cut into flat (5mm thick) wooden wall hangings that can be positioned on a wall by the customer to create a forest scene of their choice.

The forest item designs consist of a large tree, clouds, stars, the moon, and animals. The animals will mainly consist of the shape of the animal as it is performing an action – sitting, standing, playing, sleeping, etc.– and should include a few facial features or other distinguishing characteristics to allow for happy and joyful expressions or to add a little character to them. These features/characteristics will be cut by laser into the plywood giving it a 3-D look.

All items can be mounted on either of its sides. The animals should all be facing sideways. This means they can be hung on the wall so that they are facing in either direction. Also, for the animals, they do not need to be proportional in a realistic way. As an example, the deer could be the same size as the bear.

We have provided some example images of products already out on the market for inspiration. While we are creating a similar concept, we would like our own unique look, feel, and theme to all of the items that people will instantly recognize as MustBeMama products.

Forest:

Tree
Size - 130cm tall by 85cm wide at the top where the leaves are. The trunk width should be 15 to 20cm. We will eventually add in a growth chart on the tree trunk and the upper part of the tree in order to measure the child’s height over time (see the image of the black tree and the rocket ship included in the brief).

The tree has two branches on opposite sides of the tree trunk that are each 35cm long. The branches are at different heights from one another on the trunk.

Rabbit faced sideways is in a position where it is standing on its back legs and is reaching up, holding a string attached to a balloon (no need to include the balloon or string in your design)
