Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

We need a logo design for a brand new podcast and Youtube channel called, "The Dropouts".
Ash T (a former doctor turned actor) interviews people who left their 9-5 job (medicine, law, banking) to pursue a career in the Arts (acting, painting, music).
I'd envisioned the colors of dark green for the background and dark yellow for text. However, if you have branding experience with colors, I'm open to other options that you think resonate better for success, creativity, optimism, and risk-taking.
It would be cool to have someone hanging from the 'P' in DroPouts, afraid to take the plunge into the fiery depths below as an analogy to others who are afraid of taking the leap out of their day job to pursue their true passion.
I'm attaching the original concept. I didn't like the color red on this. And the guy hanging from the letter should have been a brown guy with a little more worry because he's hanging for dear life. Also, it's a little too busy with the smiley faces in the 'O's of Dropouts. No smiley faces needed.
