T-Shirt-Design Kurzbeschreibung

Hi, my name is K.G. Burke, Founder of Mutineer Bay, a pirate themed lifestyle apparel brand. https://mutineerbay.com

We are starting up a new line of T-shirts and hoodies/sweatshirts and want to feature pirate themed designs on them.

I want to modernize/stylize the typical pirate images out there. We started with the original pirate flags as a base (see site) and have been successful. But now, our customers are calling for more designs incorporating images of pirates, pirateships, skull & crossbones and other pirate related items (grog, cannons, the cutlass, treasure chest, etc.) Make sense?



GUT CHECK:
• We like symmetry
• We like serif type or IM Fell DW font
• We like some texture and elements that look hand drawn (type and illustrations both tightly rendered and loose)
• We like both modern and traditional illustration approaches
• We like circular designs and badges
• We like some simple illustrations, but you also are drawn to more detailed approaches.
• No sugar skull references (thats good!)
• We do not like illustrations that feel too cartoony or fun
• We like framing illustrations with smaller illustrations
