Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

J'Bacon is our company. We need a mascot logo design for a new food product company that produces novel Caribbean based pork products. We are seeking a pig character (named Iko, but the name is not part of the logo), wearing a reggae style cap of green, gold, and red, such are often worn in Jamaica. We would like the expression of Iko to express the friendly open-ness that is so abundant in the native Caribbean culture. We imagine Iko will be looking out at us slightly from the side, with the right side of his face closer to us. We further imagine his head tilted slightly down with one eyebrow raised in an expression that is intended to express a "Didn't I tell you?" or "See what I mean?" message as if to confirm that he told us how good the food would be and now that we have tried it, he is enjoying that "told you so" moment.

These are not specific requirements, just what we imagine Iko as looking like. We understand that professional designers are capable of much more than we could know, so we would not wish to limit the skills of an artist by demanding precise things. In our minds, we imagined Iko having the friendliness of the actor John Candy, as well as the sharp expressiveness of another actor, Jack Nicholson.

One thing that we would like to avoid is a generic representation of Iko as simply a fat pink pig with big round eyes and a reggae cap. We are hoping to establish a relationship between Iko and the world through that joyful, positive expression of "See, I told you it is good, Mon!"

We will include images that generally convey what we think we want, but do not expect that the finished product of Iko will be like the included images. They are being included to offer a general idea of the character we envision Iko as being. Obviously, we can't make cartoon characters of real people without permission and we will not have permission from John Candy or Jack Nicholson!
