Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

Gymmy
Gymmy will be a web/phone app to support gymnasts (parents), coaches, judges in their gymnastics career. An app to store training highlights, competition results, evaluation minutes, calendar, easy access to regulations, test results, injury history. judging exercises etc. etc.

The major part of the users will come from the women's artistic gymnastics community, but I intend it to be usable for other disciplines as well (men's, trampoline, acrobatics, tumbling, rythmic, ...)

Gymmy will be a brand. So what I need is:
- A logo, to register the brand
- An icon for the app
- And I associate Gymmy in my head with a figure (person/animal?) that will support the community. I would like a design for this character that can be used in different poses or animations. This figure could be part of the logo, if it does not make it to complex/crowded.

My ideas:
- I like simplicity in logo's and icon's; easy recognisability, good readability, not too many colors, not too curly letters, however if a form of gymnastics can be expressed (salto?) that would be a plus (but this is probably conflicting)
- The character (person/animal) should be appealing to both children and adults
- Orange is the color of the Netherlands, and also part of my company logo (also designed here) - could be part of this project as well (see attachment).

The name "Gymmy"; perhaps an extended version with a subtitle (not defined yet, something like "Your gymnastics career!")
