Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

We need a logo/badge for our Detective unit in the Queensland Police.
The unit is based in the town of Emerald, in Central Queensland.
The unit is called the ‘Emerald Criminal Investigation Branch’.
Ideally looking for a ‘roundel’ design with text around the outer band with a 1:1 ratio or close to.
The concept is to include a
- Wedgetail Eagle
- An Emerald/green gemstone.
The eagle should be identifiable as a Wedgetail Eagle (Not mistaken for an American Bald Eagle etc).
“This is a very large and quite lanky eagle. It is characteristically black but can appear tar to charcoal brown depending on lighting and individual variation. Wedge-tailed eagles have a massive bill but possess a relatively small and rather flat head with a long, almost vulturine neck. Furthermore, they are distinctive for their prominent carpals and baggy feathered trousers. The species tends to perch conspicuously on dead trees, telegraph poles, rocks or the open ground at times. The colour scheme should be simple and modern (Nothing too bright or extravagant) however with reasonable contrast. I am open to experimentation with the colour scheme. I like the appearance of the colour scheme in the example files including navy blue, green, white and gold – though as mentioned, I am open to your own creative ideas for colour. Some
The logo should not be overly complex as it would be used in various formats including:
1. Email signatures and documents alongside the official ‘Queensland Police Service’ logo.
2. Embroidered on a polo shirt or other apparel.
3. Sublimated on neckties (The logo would appear once on the bottom right of the tie). The size of the logo on a necktie would be no more than 1.5cm. The text and finer details of the logo do not need to be clear for this use but should not be so complicated that the logo becomes completely unidentifiable..
