Verpackungs-Design Kurzbeschreibung

The Project:
We are looking for high end and colourful packaging designs with a botanical twist for our new eco-friendly gift brand, SowCoco.

The product is a real coconut shell adapted into a plant pot which comes in a kit with a soil block, a mini spade and a small packet of seeds to grow microgreen chickpea shoots. It’s both a high-end gift, and an eco friendly homeware product, so we need a packaging design to reflect that. I envision it will be sold in high-end chain gift retailers, including Oliver Bonas, and garden centres throughout the UK. It should have a green-fingered aesthetic that reflects the eco credentials of the product whilst maintaining a high-end and modern visual.

On the front face of the packaging box there will be a semi-circle cut out with our logo running through (currently brown and green in colour, however I would be happy for this to be changed to white or an emerald green, or any other colour to compliment the rest of your design). The coconut will be seen through the cut out and a stylised image of the chickpea microgreen shoots will be growing out from the top of the box and will ‘pop up’ from the top. Please note, the packaging box is 10.5x10x10cm and feels relatively large in real life, so the design should be adequately detailed to give the finished product a feel of quality.

I’ve attached a ‘mood board’ of packaging designs which I like, to help you get a feel for the aesthetic we are going for. The images included are from target stores and have the general luxury high-end feel we need - please use this for reference.

Also attached is the typography needed to be displayed on the box as well as the barcode, QR code and die-lines – please note the die-lines need adjusting as there are 3 errors with them! This can be fixed later - but for reference, the semi-circle needs to be centralised and the shape changed (see mood board for reference), the flaps under the cutout need to be narrowed, and the box lid is 0.5cm too high - same height as the side rather than width.

We would like to see some creative and original work so please have fun with this! Lots of colour, super modern and stylish concepts that reflect the eco-friendly nature of the product.
