Thanks, I have a two-part answer. I think we are most attracted to the materials for the Ace Hotel & Swim Club, (most samples about 2/3rds of the way down the Pinterest page) though those are mostly B/W and we would like to try to get some color in there (either with accent words in color or perhaps reversed out of full bleed color). But we like the bold, clean look of the typography. That's why I put in the option to do the in-store sign, as it might be easier to figure out how the logo would work within the overall look - maybe the logo just needs to be simple type used similar the "Ace Hotel" within the other copy. However, I do like the logo of these fairly simple, kind-of retro logos:
