Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

Project: Create a fun unique “logo” for the website and concert program of our upcoming 2025 “Spring Sing” event in Denver Colorado in May 2025.
“Spring Sing” is an annual event that has been happening for over 50 years, in a different city each year, depending on which group hosts the event. It is a weekend gathering of 12 acapella music groups across the USA -- about 150 singers in all.
Every year, they gather at a different host city for a fun weekend of singing, dancing, performing, food, drinks, renewed friendships and some sight-seeing.
Audience: About 150 singers (and possibly their spouses or families) who belong to one of the member groups. 95% of the singers have been to at least a few and in some cases many Spring Sings already. Most people know each other very well.
Most of these singers live on the East Coast, or Midwest big city, far from the rugged beauty of the Rocky Mountains. They get excited about coming West to “mountain country” for Spring Sing. Some may spend a few days after Spring Sing to drive to the mountains to go hiking or maybe skiing.
These people are fun! They love to get together with their fellow singers each year and perform for each other and then party deep into the night! They sing their hearts out, and celebrate being together again. They are fun, funny people. This is a party!
Some years Spring Sing is in Philadelphia, Washington DC, New York, Detroit, or Chicago. This year, they will enjoy this great annual weekend in Denver Colorado, where the mountain views are spectacular. The city is 5280 feet high in altitude and the mountain views are great!

What does this logo need to say?
Communicate visually:
1) FUN, SINGING TOGETHER in COLORADO (Snowy mountain country!)
2) It must say: “Spring Sing Denver, 2025”,
Although the event will happen in Denver this year, the real visual attraction is Colorado,the mountains, the scenery. There is still snow in
the mountains. Ski season is not always over yet in early May. Most people won’t getaway to the mountains (an hour away), but some may. Even if they don’t get away to the mountains, they will love the
snowy mountain views and the fresh air, and they will feel the altitude and enjoy the excitement of being in “mountain country.”

Option: the Denver skyline against the Mountain backdrop? (possible not necessary)
Showing singers is not necessary, but may be cool.
Convey “group singing, fun, in/near the mountains.”

Current state of the Project: Ski Patch
We brainstormed 4-6 ideas, all very different, then used AI to try to capture the idea we liked best. We need help finishing it.
Current Idea: Looks like a round textile “ski patch” that people used to sew onto their parkas. These would say “Vail Colorado” or Winter Park, CO” or other famous ski areas.
Ours is a visual of the snowy mountains and the words “Spring Sing Denver 2025.”
We included additional funny imagery, like ski goggles, and a ski boot with a beer mug in it. These aren’t literally true (people will not likely go skiing), but are fun and convey the greater ambiance. It’s fun and pretty good, but we want to see options. We are wondering if it might be better with a group of singers on the snowy slopes. Maybe that is better, maybe not (might be too literal). This is not required, but an idea worth seeing.
(The words Spring Sing already convey singing, so showing singers is not necessary, but it is an option.)
We like any/all fun clever creative ideas that convey “singing and party fun in Colorado”
Assignment:
1) Please refine/improve our ski patch AND give us variations on this patch idea
2) Give us several new ideas for a cool fun logo. We like creativity! Can be
completely different! Go wild (but convey the message).
Additional considerations:
This year’s host group is from Denver. We are called the Wizards. We are known for being fun and sometimes imbibing in a drink or two. One variation of the ski patch might include a few people being silly, possibly drinking, or in Wizard suits. We’d like to see something like this, but won’t necessarily pick it. We are undecided about this because
most of the participants are not in the Wizards. So a “wizard” in the mountains should not be the main visual, but might possibly be a side visual.
The greater audience is male and female. If we show singers we need to show both male and female.
