Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

I need a logo for a non-profit group called "Phalanx Leadership Group". Our primary purpose is to provide guidance, event planning, and leadership education to cadet organizations.

Uses: We need a logo that can be used for the web, turned into a letterhead logo, and able to be put on shirts. The primary logo that will be used on the web should have some depth with possible shading to enhance the look.

Colors: we thought dark red and gold signified leadership but we are open to any color choices.

Theme: it should be simple but stick with the origins of the Phalanx name. It could incorporate a spear, shield, laurel, or an abstract military formation, BUT WE ARE NOT TIED TO THOSE IDEAS. We need a fresh viewpoint and thought put into the meaning of the logo. It needs to be professional and striking logo that represents what we do while also being somewhat minimal. We will interact with large companies as well as the government so it should not have a cartoon look.
