Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung
Task Description: We need a logo design for a new community resource and development center on St. John, USVI – a new resource for the island, which traditionally has not had the same university access as the main UVI campuses on St. Thomas and St. Croix. This new center, led by UVI CELL (Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning), will open doors to a broad range of university programming and resources designed to support St. John’s residents in personal, professional, and educational growth.
UVI CELL is spearheading funding and partnerships for this initiative, offering the community an impressive array of educational and personal development courses, professional training, and support services. Partners include UVI, the Department of Education's Career, Technical, and Adult Education programs, the Department of Labor, the Small Business Development Center, the EDC, the Workforce Investment Board, the VI School of Technical Studies, and more.
The center’s services, many funded under the Adult Education and Family Literacy Act (AEFLA), will combine educational and occupational training to provide career and educational advancement opportunities for adult learners. This includes:
Adult Education and Literacy: Programs to strengthen foundational skills and literacy.
Occupational Training: Vocational training aligned with career pathways.
Workforce Preparation: Employability skills to boost workforce readiness.
The St. John Resource & Development Center will also house the Small Business Development Center (SBDC), offering free business support, from startup assistance to operational guidance and strategic marketing planning.
Nonprofits serving the St. John community will find valuable support here as well, including a revitalized St. John Angel Network – a collaborative effort aimed at identifying and addressing pressing community needs.
Please note that this new logo will appear alongside UVI CELL, UVI, and various partner logos on marketing materials, so it should complement these existing brand visuals. Those logos are in an attached file in this project request.
